Description

This event aims to discuss Indigenous peoples' experiences of projects in the Just Energy Transition value chain, including examples of co-ownership and equity models, to date, and including both positive and negative aspects. It will also highlight relevant cases from Brazil such as the oil exploitation in the Amazon basin and implications on IP rights regarding wind, solar and hydropower renewable sources. It will identify recommendations by indigenous peoples and selected allies for governments, business and other stakeholders in the context of the climate change crisis.
